During our research while designing RedeemSG, we found it was difficult for some seniors and less tech-savvy people to enter the exact amount they wanted to use. We designed the vouchers in fixed denominations to reduce the chances of someone entering the wrong amount and spending more than they intended to.

Having fixed denominations also helps support people who prefer paper vouchers, while giving them and merchants a consistent experience with paper and digital vouchers.
