What does it mean to apply for the PSC Scholarships as a Mid-term candidate?

Updated by PSC

The PSC recognises that you may only discover your career interest while you are pursuing your university studies. You may apply as a Mid-term candidate to the PSC Scholarships during your university studies, provided that you have completed at least one semester/year of your undergraduate study, and are not in your final year yet.

This is a full scholarship which includes tuition fees and maintenance allowance from the point of the scholarship. PSC will backpay the tuition fees for duration prior to PSC scholarship. The scholarship attracts a bond of 4 years for local universities, 5 years for studies in non-English speaking countries and 6 years for studies in English-speaking countries. The bond period for the PSC Scholarship (Medicine) or PSC Scholarship (Dentistry) is 6 years, starting from Postgraduate Year 1.
