What should I do if I forgot to start or extend my session?
If you forgot to start a parking session, or your session expired before you extended it, you do not need to do anything — and no payment is required.
Parking.sg can only process payments during an active parking session. Once your parking has ended, there is no way to pay for it retrospectively, and we are unable to charge you for the missed duration. This applies whether you forgot to start a session entirely, or there was a gap between your session expiring and you extending it.
Will I be fined?
A fine can only be issued if a parking warden detects unpaid parking during the parking session itself. Fines cannot be backdated. If you were not issued a fine while your vehicle was parked, no fine will be issued afterwards.
What if I did receive a fine?
If a warden issued you a fine during the unpaid period, you may submit an appeal through the agency that manages the carpark:
Check your notice slip to identify the managing agency (URA, HDB or JTC) and the notice number.
Submit your appeal via the agency's online appeal channel:
The relevant officers will investigate your case and reply to you directly. For more information, visit: https://www.parking.sg/visual-help-guides/appeal-fine
How do I make sure my session has started?
A common reason for missed payment is closing the app before the session has actually begun. Tapping 'Next Step' after selecting your parking duration does not start your session.
To confirm your session has started:
After selecting your duration, continue to the 'Confirm Details' page.
Tap 'Start Parking'.
Check that the app shows the CURRENT SESSION screen before leaving your vehicle.
If you do not see CURRENT SESSION, your parking has not started and you may be fined by a parking warden during your parking period.
To avoid a gap in coverage when extending, do ensure your parking session covers your entire parking duration, and extend before your current session expires.
