Why am I not receiving push notification from Parents Gateway?
If you're not receiving notifications from Parents Gateway (PG), here are the main solutions:
Check Your PG App Settings
First, ensure notifications are enabled in the app:
Open the Parents Gateway app
Select the 'Profile' tab
Navigate to 'Notifications', then 'Push Notifications'
Ensure the 'Push Notifications' toggle is switched on
Verify Your Phone Settings
Your phone's settings can override app notifications. To check:
Open your phone's Settings
Find and select 'App notifications' or 'Notifications'
Locate Parents Gateway
Enable 'Allow notifications'
Review Battery Settings
Your phone's battery-saving features might be blocking notifications. Check if Parents Gateway is affected by:
Battery optimisation
Power-saving mode
'Doze' or 'deep sleep' settings
Enable Email Notifications as Backup
If push notifications still aren't working, you can receive email notifications instead:
Go to the Profile tab
Select Notifications
Choose Email Notifications
Switch the toggle to ON
