The display of your full NRIC on the PAssion Silver Concession Card is in line with the Government’s updated guidelines on the use of NRIC numbers, which recognises the NRIC as a standard identifier. The display of the full NRIC helps to facilitate accurate identification of the cardholder and usage of the concession cards.

Partial NRIC numbers are insufficient for identifying individuals accurately as more than one person may have the same partial NRIC number. Furthermore, partial NRIC numbers do not effectively protect your full NRIC number from becoming known, as easily-available online algorithms have made it possible to work out a full NRIC number from just the last four characters.
