The mandatory Marriage Preparation Programme (MPrep) is customised for minor couples, where at least one party is below 21 years of age. During Mprep, you and your spouse-to-be will be provided with:

  • Premarital consultation to better understand, clarify and address any concerns that you, your spouse-to-be and parents may have about the marriage and forming a family, and community services available to support you and your spouse-to-be on your marital journey.

  • Marriage education workshops to learn essential skills and knowledge to build a strong and stable marriage and family. You and Key topics include management of household finances, communication and conflict resolution. In addition, parents of the minor couple are highly encouraged to attend parent workshops on providing functional and emotional support for the minor couples. Through the programme, you and your partner would be able to make informed decision about the marriage and be better prepared for the adjustments and challenges that you will face in the next stage of your life journey.

  • Your parents/guardians will be invited to join the workshop as they play an important role in supporting you and your partner in the early years of your marriage.
