What are the processes involved in a polygynous marriage application?
The processes involved in a polygynous marriage application is as follow:
All applications are submitted to ROMM for the Kadi's review.
Upon receiving your submitted application, the Kadi will arrange separate appointments with the current wife or wives, the applicant, and the proposed spouse about a month from the date of application. This appointment letter will be posted to their respective addresses.
During the separate interviews, all statements and evidence will be recorded by the Kadi. At the end of the interview, all parties concerned will sign off on their respective statements.
From the statements and evidence given by all parties and with reference to the Syariah Law, the Kadi will then make his judgment. His written judgement will be posted to the applicant, with copies sent to his current wife or wives and the proposed spouse.
