If my child is participating in water activities, am I required to buy shoes designed for water activities e.g. water booties?

Updated by OBS

It is not necessary to buy a new pair of water activities shoes. OBS encourages students to use existing shoes or to borrow instead. Any secured shoes that cover the feet including heels and toes for protection against rocks and hard objects below the water surface is sufficient for participation in water activities during the OBS course.

Do note that rubber clogs and sandals are not allowed to be worn for water activities.
