Can my child be excused from doing water activities if their school is attending during the ghost festival month?

Parents are encouraged to support their children's participation throughout all activities. Your encouragement helps your child embrace challenges with confidence and optimism. Should your child need guidance during the programme, our instructors are always ready to provide appropriate support and assistance.
The MOE-OBS Challenge (MOC) programme offers Secondary Three students a transformative outdoor learning experience designed to develop character, resilience, and ruggedness. Through carefully structured activities in the outdoors, participants engage in experiences that stretch their capabilities while building essential life skills. These experiences are intentionally designed to:
Build confidence and resilience through rugged outdoor living
Appreciate community diversity through social interaction opportunities
Forge camaraderie through common challenging experiences
Build a strong foundation for active and healthy living
Students are guided by instructors who create a supportive environment while maintaining appropriate challenge levels. When participants step beyond their comfort zones, they discover inner strengths and capabilities they might not have known existed. We understand that this journey of growth may initially seem daunting to both parents and students. However, decades of experience have shown that these challenging, yet carefully managed experiences create lasting, positive impact on our youths’ character development. Our instructors are trained to balance between support and challenge, ensuring student's safety while maximising their learning potential.
