Upon the death of a sole owner or co-owner of a HDB flat under tenancy-in-common, what should the family do?

The deceased's family needs to apply to the Courts for the Grant of Letters of Administration (if the deceased did not leave a Will) or Grant of Probate (if there is a Will). With the document, the appointed person can then follow up to effect the change in the name of the flat from the deceased owner to the appointed person. Visit HDB's website to learn more.
