Fall history

Timed Up and Go Test: The applicant will rise from a standard armchair, may push off armrests, walk 3 metres at a normal pace, turn, walk back, and sit down again. The whole sequence is timed from start to finish.

Gait quality: The doctor will observe applicant’s quality and independence of gait over a short distance.

6-Minute Walk Test: The applicant will walk as far as they can in 6 minutes, at their own pace. They may slow down or stop and rest if needed and resume walking when able. The doctor will inform them when the time is up.
