What are the medical health requirements?
All applicants must be in good health, free from any of the disqualifying chronic medical conditions, and physically capable of performing the Haj rituals independently. (Refer to Section B2 for the list of disqualifying chronic medical conditions.)
Every applicant who wishes to undertake Haj in 2027 (1448H) must complete a Haj Medical Assessment with a MUIS-appointed medical service provider in Singapore.
Following the assessment, the medical service provider will email the applicant a medical report indicating one of the following outcomes:
Category A | The applicant has been assessed to be medically fit for Haj. Placement for Haj 2027 (1448H) remains subject to the available quota. |
Category B | The applicant requires further review by the Haj Medical Panel. A final decision on the applicant’s medical fitness to perform Haj will be made by 18 October 2026, or earlier. |
Category C | The applicant has been assessed to be medically unfit for Haj and advised deferring their Haj application. |
The Haj Medical Assessment helps ensure that applicants are medically and physically prepared to undertake Haj safely, while safeguarding the well-being of fellow pilgrims.
