The MBMF rates are not directly comparable to those of the other self-help groups as they serve different purposes. Beyond secular developmental programmes run by MENDAKI, MBMF contributions also fund religious infrastructure such as mosques and religious education through madrasahs. In contrast, contributions to CDAC, SINDA, and EA are directed solely towards educational and developmental programmes with no religious component, hence the difference in rates.
