My child was born in 2014. Under the SG Child Support Package, will the Child Development Account (CDA) be closed on 31 December 2026 when he turns 12 or will the CDA remain opened until the year he turns 16?

Updated by MSF

Under the SG Child Support Package, children born or turning 1 to 13 in 2028 will have their CDAs extended to the end of the year they turn age 16.

As your child is born in 2014, the CDA will be closed on 31 December 2026 and a Post Secondary Education Account (PSEA) will be created automatically.

Your child will still receive Child Credits under the SG Child Support Package and payouts will be paid to the bank account linked to your child’s PayNow ID (that is, NRIC or birth certificate number) from April 2027.
