If my employee is on no pay leave, is employer required to grant her Government-Paid Maternity Leave (GPML)?
If the mother's no pay leave (NPL) ends before her child's birth or the employer is willing to terminate the mother's NPL before her child's birth, she can enjoy up to 16 weeks of Government-Paid Maternity Leave (GPML). MSF will reimburse the employer accordingly.
If the mother's NPL ends after she gave birth, the employer is required to grant her the remaining GPML that she is eligible to after the end of her NPL.
