Can I use my child’s Child Development Account (CDA) to pay for specialised feeds (e.g. metabolic feeds) and doctor-prescribed glasses that are only sold at retail pharmacies and optical shops?

From 1 Jan 2026, Child Development Account (CDA) cannot be used to pay for purchases at optical shops and retail pharmacies, including doctor-prescribed glasses and health products.

Nonetheless, parents can continue using other forms of Government support schemes (e.g. Baby Bonus Cash Gift and Child LifeSG Credits) to purchase items at retail pharmacies and optical shops.
