I am my step-child’s CDA trustee, can I receive the Large Family LifeSG Credits?
Step-parents may receive the Large Family LifeSG Credits for their step-child as their CDA trustee, as long as their step-child was born in the context of a marriage. Children born outside of marriage will be ineligible to receive LFLC, but they will add to the child count so that their siblings born in the context of a marriage are able to receive LFLC. For a child born outside of marriage to be eligible to receive LFLC themselves, the single parent of the child must marry and the spouse’s name must be reflected on the child’s birth certificate; or the child must be adopted by the spouse.
