What type of employment support will be provided under the ITE-SG Enable Internship and Employment Support Programme?
Under the programme, ITE students with disabilities will receive pre-employment training, post-graduation job placement and up to one year of job support.
Pre-employment training would cover areas such as personal grooming, resume preparation, interview preparation, work ethics, workplace communication, as well as career exploration activities to help students with disabilities discover their strengths, interests, motivations and possible career pathways.
Job support will be provided by job coaches, and will include advising employers on job redesign and reasonable accommodations, as well as supporting persons with disabilities on the job and integrating them into the workforce.
