How are the Large Family LifeSG Credits different from the Child LifeSG Credits announced at Budget 2025?

Large Family LifeSG Credits: given annually to married or ever-married parents, including widowed or divorced parents, in large families. Each third and subsequent Singapore citizen child will be eligible for it from the year that the child turns 1 to the year that the child turns 6.

Child LifeSG Credits: a one-off support measure introduced as part of Budget 2025 given to all families with at least 1 child aged 0 to 12 in 2025. This is regardless of the number of children in the family.

 

Payment timelines:

 

Child LifeSG Credits

Week of 7 July 2025 (for children born in 2013 to 2024)

April 2026 (for children born in 2025)

 

Large Family LifeSG Credits

From 10 September 2025 (for children born in 2019 to 2024)

April 2026 [1] (for respective birth cohorts aged 1 to 6 in 2026, including children born in 2025)

 

[1] From 2026 onwards, LFLC will be disbursed in April of each year.
