Under the Large Families Scheme, parents with a third or subsequent Singapore Citizen (SC) child born on or after 18 February 2025 will receive (i) an increased Child Development Account (CDA) First Step Grant (FSG) of $10,000, (ii) a $5,000 Large Family MediSave Grant (LFMG), and (iii) $1,000 annually in Large Family LifeSG Credits (LFLC) in the years that the child turns one to six*.

The increased CDA FSG will be paid out around 2 weeks after the opening of a CDA. The LFMG will be paid out around 2 weeks after successful enrolment into the Baby Bonus Scheme.

Large Family LifeSG Credits (LFLC) will be disbursed annually to the CDA trustee for each third and subsequent SC child, eligible children who are between one to six years old.  The first CLC payment will be in September 2025. Eligibility for the September 2025 payment will be determined as of 1 August 2025. Thereafter, the LFLC will continue to be paid out annually in April for eligible children aged 1-6. Eligibility will be determined as of 1 March of each disbursement year.

Any changes in families’ eligibility that occur after the respective eligibility assessment date will only be taken into account for the following year’s LFLC disbursement.

Credits will be paid into the LifeSG app digital wallet of the eligible child’s CDA trustee in MSF’s records. Recipients will be notified via SMS by MSF once the credits have been disbursed into their LifeSG app digital wallet.  Please ensure that your details (e.g. CDA trustee information, contact details) are correct and accurately reflected on Myinfo and with MSF.

*The Large Family LifeSG Credits also applies to existing large families with at least one child aged six or below in 2025 (i.e. born between 1 Jan 2019 and 17 Feb 2025).
