The Large Families Scheme is a Government scheme to strengthen support for couples who have 3 or more children. It builds on the Government’s commitment to support Singaporeans in fulfilling their parenthood aspirations, and create a conducive environment for families to thrive.

Families with a third or subsequent eligible[1] Singapore Citizen child born on or after 18 February 2025 will receive (i) an increase in the Child Development Account First Step Grant from $5,000 to $10,000, (ii) a $5,000 Large Family MediSave Grant, and (iii) $1,000 in Large Family LifeSG Credits that will be disbursed annually during the years that the child turns 1 to 6*.

*The Large Family LifeSG Credits also applies to existing large families with at least one child aged six or below in 2025 (i.e. born between 1 Jan 2019 and 17 Feb 2025).
