The steps to renew a Dependant’s Pass (DP) is the same as applying for a new DP. Please refer to the application form link and required documents.

The DP will only be renewed for valid reasons. If a DP extension is required, please make an extension application with MSF at least 1 month prior to the expiry date. Each extension is valid for 6 months.

All DP extension applications will be processed within 20 working days, provided all the required documents are submitted.

Once the DP application is approved, there is a payment of $225 for each DP issuance and $30 in multi-journey visa (if applicable) for the child to enter Singapore. The payment details will be specified in the IPA letter.

You cannot renew your DP once an Adoption Order has been granted. Please approach the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for advice on applying for a suitable immigration pass applications (e.g. Student’s Pass) for the child to remain in Singapore, while waiting for the outcome of his Singapore Citizenship or Permanent Residency application.

You may contact ICA through their feedback form on their website.
