Do Permanent Residents need to do a self-declaration in the absence of Letter of Support (LOS)?
A self-declaration is not required. It is the PR applicant’s responsibility to ensure they can fulfil the following three requirements before applying for a Adoption Suitability Assessment (ASA):
i. that the adoption in Singapore is recognised in their home country,
ii. the legal requirements for adoption in their home country are met and
iii. the adopted child will be granted permanent stay in their home country.
