What is the cost of fostering a child?

To assist foster parents to defray the costs of supporting a foster child, MSF provides a monthly allowance for every foster child under your care.

The allowance will help to defray the expenses of caring for the foster child, such as for food, clothing, education, tuition, transport. The allowances provided are as follows:

Age Group

Normal development

With special needs/medical needs

Young children (0 to 12 years old)

$1,100

$1,500

Teenagers (13 years old and above)

$1,300

$1,800
