My spouse is the Child Development Account (CDA) trustee. We are in the process of divorce and I am caring for the child. Can I receive the excess CDA balance (ECB)?

Excess CDA balance (ECB) will be refunded via PayNow to the bank account linked to the child’s NRIC in Jan/Feb of the year the child turns 13. However, if PayNow is not set up, MSF will send a letter to the CDA trustee with instructions to provide the nominated bank account to receive the refund, and the refund will take up to 14 days.

Based on the Child Development Co-Savings Act (CDCA), the parent who has care and control of the child shall be the CDA trustee.

If the care and control of the child has changed by mutual agreement between both parents or a Court Order, you can email MSF at MSF_babybonus@msf.gov.sg with the relevant supporting documents (i.e. Court Order for Care and Control) to request for a change in trustee, by 15 December of the year your child turns 12.
