Other than managing P’s affairs, what are the other things that I should do?
As a profession Deputy/Donee, you must do the following:
Maintain regular contact with P to ensure that level of care provided matches his needs.
Keep clear and complete accounts of transactions carried out on behalf of P and records showing how transactions are in P’s best interests.
Make alternative arrangements, such as appointing a successor deputy (Deputyship) or replacement donee (LPA), should PD be incapable to act for P.
To consider your existing caseload before taking on new cases. E.g. complexity and time required to manage each P’s case, and whether there are supporting staff to manage the administrative matters
