When does the donee step in to make decisions on behalf of the donor?

The authority granted under the LPA to a Donee will come into effect only after the Donor has been certified by a registered medical practitioner to have lost mental capacity. The decisions Donees can make will depend on the powers the Donor had provided in his/her LPA.
