Why does OPG need my consent to be contacted via SMS for legal notices?

This is a legal requirement that allows you to share your preference on whether you want to receive SMS notifications on legal matters relating to your LPA. OPG will notify you via email or letters (when email address is not available) if you do not consent to receive SMS notifications.
