I’ve gone through the Pre-Marriage LTVP Assessment (PMLA) and received the Letter of LTVP Eligibility (LLE). Does that mean I’ll definitely be granted LTVP later?

Persons issued with the LLE will generally be eligible for an LTVP if they apply within the LLE validity period of 1 year and if their circumstances remain unchanged. That said, each application for LTVP is still considered on its own merits. The LLE does not constitute the approval of an LTVP as the PMLA only gives an indication of the non-resident’s eligibility for LTVP based on the information submitted for the PMLA by both parties. In a small number of cases, the outcomes of the PMLA and LTVP applications may differ if the couple’s circumstances change between their PMLA and LTVP applications. Couples should ensure that the information submitted in the PMLA is correct, for a more accurate assessment of their eligibility for LTVP.
