What does Child Development Account (CDA) Government co-matching cap mean and how can I maximise it before CDA closes?
The Child Development Account (CDA) Government co-matching cap is the maximum amount the Government will co-match when you save in your child's CDA. The Government matches a dollar for every dollar you save, up to a cap, credited within two weeks of your deposit. The cap amount depends on your child's date of birth and birth order.
You can save into and use the CDA funds for approved expenses at Baby Bonus Approved Institution Portal on MSF website for your child's development and healthcare needs at any time before the CDA closes. To check the remaining cap for Government co-matching on “Family View service” on Parent Portal Services.
If you have not reached your child’s co-matching cap when the CDA closes, you can continue saving and receive the remaining Government co-matching in their Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) until they turn 18.
