If my child has passed away, what will happen to the Baby Bonus benefits?
If a child has passed away, any outstanding Baby Bonus Cash Gifts will be paid in one lump sum to Child Savings Account (CSA).
If the child has a Child Development Account (CDA), we will match parents' savings into the CDA until the date of the child's demise and instruct the bank to close the CDA within two months. The money in the CDA will be transferred to the Public Trustee for distribution according to the Interstate Succession Act or Syariah Law.
