Basic and ongoing training is provided for VPOs. This includes:

• Overview of Probation and Community Rehabilitation Service

• Basic communication and befriending skills

• Understanding today's youth and models of intervention

The orientation training consists of an online e-learning module and one compulsory classroom training session. There will also be ongoing training on different aspects of working with probationers to enhance the VPO's skills.
