How can I request to reinstate a Work Permit or in-principle approval that is revoked due to levy default?

Updated by MOM

Before submitting your reinstatement request, please ensure you have:

  1. Paid the overdue levy in Check and pay foreign worker levy.
  2. Paid CPF contributions for all your local workers
  3. Paid all your workers’ salaries

After paying the overdue levy bill, wait 1 – 2 days and check that it is updated in Check and pay foreign worker levy under the Payments tab.

Payment details will usually be shown in your account summary by the next day if payment is received by 10pm, and within 2 days for payments received after 10pm.

Complete these steps:

  1. Purchase levy bonds for workers without existing levy bonds. Payments must be made separately for skilled (i.e. basic skilled and higher skilled) and unskilled workers. Companies with existing levy bonds do not need to purchase new bonds, but MOM will extend the monitoring period for the existing levy bonds by 12 months from the revocation date.
  2. Submit a request to reinstate your workers:
  3. We will email you the outcome. If your request is approved, you may then log in to WP Online to complete the reinstatement of their passes.

To avoid incurring additional non-refundable transaction fees, do not apply for reinstatement using WP Online before receiving our approval to proceed with the reinstatement.
