Can a contract of service be terminated before the notice period ends?

Updated by MOM

Yes, either employer or employee can terminate the contract before the notice period has ended.

However, the terminating party must pay salary in lieu of notice to the other party. This should be equivalent to the gross salary the employee would have earned during the notice period not served.
