My worker is already in Singapore and he does not have a pre-entry housing check approval. What should I do?
From 19 September 2023, employers in the Construction, Marine shipyard, and Process (CMP) sectors must provide proof of acceptable accommodation. This is a requirement for bringing new non-Malaysian Work Permit holders into Singapore.
If you bring your worker into Singapore without such approval, it is a breach of pre-entry housing check requirement. Your worker’s Onboard slot will be cancelled and your company will be debarred from hiring foreign workers.
Before booking the next available Onboard slot, please:
- Ensure you have submitted proof of acceptable accommodation for your worker
- Obtain MOM’s approval for the pre-entry housing check
You may refer to our website for the specific pre-entry housing check requirements.
