If your employee works on public holidays or rest days:

First 8 hours of workHours worked after the first 8 hours of work
  • Does not count as overtime
  • Does not count towards PWM gross wage requirements for overtime
  • Counts as overtime
  • Count towards PWM gross wage requirements for overtime

Your employee works 10 hours on a public holiday.

The employee should be paid for 8 hours of work, and 2 hours of overtime pay.

The 2 hours of overtime pay count towards the PWM gross wage requirements for overtime.
