Which parts of the maternity leave are Government-funded?

ChildrenThe Government will pay
1st and 2nd childUp to $20,000 (including CPF contributions) per child order for the last 8 weeks.
3rd and subsequent childrenUp to $40,000 (including CPF contributions) per child order for the full 16 weeks.
  • As an employer, you may claim reimbursement subsequently from the Government, for the amount of Government-Paid Maternity Leave taken.
  • For the 1st and 2nd children, Government reimbursement is applicable only after you have paid for 8 weeks of maternity leave.
