If employers decide that work should be stopped in view of the haze situation, can the employees’ salaries or annual leave be deducted on that day?

Updated by MOM

In situations where the employer has decided in view of their risk assessment to temporarily suspend operations, the employer should bear the costs of doing so and should not deduct from the wages or leave entitlements of the affected employees.
