PMBS, TMIS or Shield plan would provide coverage for hospitalisation, surgery and some expensive outpatient treatments like chemotherapy or dialysis.

Employees would still be entitled to their existing outpatient benefits as per their employment contracts, collective agreements or the Employment Act.
