Must I pay the hospital for MRI cost if the MRI result proves that my employee’s injury is not related to the workplace accident?
MRIs are considered medical examinations. As an employer, you should pay first for the MRIs if it is deemed necessarily incidental to the:
- Treatment of your employee's injury.
- Completion of your employee's medical report for the purpose of WICA.
However, if the injury is subsequently proven not to be work-related, you have the right to recover the costs from your employee.
