Can I extend the due date for a Pressure Vessel examination?
Under the Workplace Safety and Health (General Provisions) Regulations, Authorised Examiners can extend the Pressure Vessel examination due date for up to a maximum of 3 months.
As such, owners of Pressure Vessels must engage an Authorised Examiner before the current Pressure Vessel examination due date.
The Authorised Examiner can then extend the due date at their discretion after assessment of the equipment and issue a report to the owner of the pressure vessel. The owner must retain the report by the Authorised Examiner, in case it’s requested by an MOM inspector.
