What should I do if there are asbestos-containing materials in my building?
You should do all of the following:
- Conduct an asbestos survey to identify all asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in the building.
- If ACM is found, implement asbestos management programme which includes awareness training for personnel working near ACM.
- If there is any damage to the ACM, corrective actions should be taken immediately to minimise risk of exposure.
- Engage an Approved Asbestos Removal Contractor for any removal or repair of ACM required.
