What should I do if there are asbestos-containing materials in my building?

You should do all of the following:

  1. Conduct an asbestos survey to identify all asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in the building.
  2. If ACM is found, implement asbestos management programme which includes awareness training for personnel working near ACM.
  3. If there is any damage to the ACM, corrective actions should be taken immediately to minimise risk of exposure.
  4. Engage an Approved Asbestos Removal Contractor for any removal or repair of ACM required.
