If I'm not eligible for re-employment, can I still get Employment Assistance Payment (EAP)?

Updated by MOM

No, your employer is not obligated to offer you re-employment or an Employment Assistance Payment (EAP) if you are not eligible. Check if you’re eligible.

However, your employer should inform you at least 3 months before retirement so you have time to look for a new job. Employers are also encouraged to help employees who aren't eligible for re-employment, such as services like career coaching.
