If I currently have an Indonesian migrant domestic worker (MDW), how will I be affected?
Employers who process documents for their Indonesian MDWs at the embassy, e.g. if they renew their MDW’s passport, may be asked by the Indonesian Embassy to sign a new employment contract, or purchase the Indonesian Embassy performance bond guarantee, or both.
If you sign the new employment contract, it will replace your existing contract with your MDW, and you will be bound by the terms of the new contract.
If you are no longer employing your MDW at the time of renewal of her passport, there is no need for you to purchase the performance bond guarantee.
