Doesn’t MOM have a security bond requirement? Is this different from the Indonesian Embassy performance bond?
MOM has a $5,000 security bond requirement for all non-Malaysian MDWs. This is separate from the $6,000 Indonesian Embassy performance bond.
MOM’s security bond will only be forfeited if the employer does not fulfil their obligations under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Regulations. In coming to this decision, MOM conducts a thorough investigation, informs the employer of the breach, and provides opportunities for them to explain their actions.
