Can I upgrade to a higher coverage Integrated Shield Plan (IP) in future, if I buy the Standard IP now?
When policyholders apply to upgrade to a higher coverage Integrated Shield Plan, they will need to go through another round of underwriting for the new additional coverage that they are purchasing. The insurers are allowed to assess, approve with or without exclusions and/or risk-loading, or reject applications based on their own risk assessment frameworks, as these are essentially business risk decisions.
