The Ministry of Health will review the Additional Withdrawal Limits from time to time as new data and evidence emerge.
The AWLs for IP premiums are set to strike a balance between helping Singapore Residents pay for IPs, which are optional commercial products beyond MediShield Life, and conserving enough MediSave for basic healthcare expenses, especially in old age.
