When will the MediShield Life cover of my newborn baby start? Will I be notified?

Newborns who are registered as Singapore Citizens at birth are insured under MediShield Life from birth. The Central Provident Fund Board will notify his/her parent (usually the father) of the new-born’s MediShield Life coverage details generally within 1 month of the start of the MediShield Life cover.
