Why are individuals who own multiple properties and PCHI ≤ $1,500 ineligible for the Home Caregiving Grant’s (HCG) $400 payout and eligible only for the $250 payout?
Schemes such as the HCG are means-tested to provide support according to need. An individual who owns multiple properties and fulfils the HCG’s eligibility criteria can qualify for the lower tier $250 payout.
