What are the volunteering roles available for seniors under the Silver Generation Office? What is the difference between volunteering at Active Ageing Centres (AACs) under the Silver Guardian Programme and the Silver Generation Ambassador programmes?

As a Silver Generation Ambassador, you will engage seniors through home visits, also known as Preventive Health Visits (PHVs). These visits allow us to understand how the seniors are in aspects of health, financial and social, and provide seniors with relevant information of government policies, schemes, community activities and health services which may be beneficial for the seniors.

As a Silver Guardian volunteering at Active Ageing Centres, you may be assigned as an Active Ageing Programme facilitator to help co-facilitate simple exercises or arts and craft activities, or become a befriender to vulnerable seniors, monitor their wellbeing and encourage/accompany them to attend community activities. You may also be assigned other roles within the AACs based on the needs within the centre.

If you would like to hear more about the volunteering opportunities at the AACs, you may sign up for an Information Sharing session with AIC via the link: https://for.sg/volunteer-with-us-today.
